School Supply Kit FAQs
Have questions about school supply kits, ordering, delivery, or starting a program? Edukit helps schools, districts, parent groups, and families get the right supplies with less work and more confidence. Our teacher-approved programs are built around each school’s lists, timeline, and community needs. For families
1. How does the Edukit school supply program work?
Edukit works with schools, districts, and parent groups to turn teacher-approved supply lists into a school-specific program. We help set up the kit contents, ordering process, pricing, funding approach, and delivery plan. Families order online, and Edukit manages sourcing, packing, and delivery according to the program plan—helping students arrive ready for the first day.
2. Can Edukit be a one-stop shop for back-to-school supplies?
Edukit can provide one simple ordering path for the supplies included in your school’s program. The exact experience depends on how the school or district sets up its program. Some programs deliver kits to school, while others offer home delivery. Families should use their school’s Edukit link to see the available kit, ordering window, and delivery options.
3. How do I find and order my child’s kit?
Use the school search on Edukit to find your child’s school, then select the appropriate grade or program option. Review the kit details, choose the available delivery or fulfillment option, and complete the order online. If you cannot find your school or need help with an existing order, contact Edukit support or your school’s program coordinator.
4. Can I order after the main deadline?
Often, yes. The main ordering deadline gives us time to source the requested items, assemble the kits, and deliver them by the date set by your school coordinator. After the deadline, we can continue to build kits using the same supply list and ship it directly to your home. After the set deadline, product availability can vary, so an item from the original list may be unavailable. If that happens, we’ll note that an item was unavailable or use the closest available replacement. It’s a similar situation you could encounter if you took your list to shop at a retailer, except ordering through Edukit means no trips to the store or searching a website to search for the items you need.
5. What if an item is missing, incorrect, or damaged?
Contact Edukit support with the order details and a description of the issue. The team can review the order and determine the appropriate resolution under the applicable program policy.
For schools, districts, and parent groups
6. What is the main advantage of Edukit?
Edukit combines flexibility with knowledgeable support. Schools can choose a program structure that fits their community, while families get a simple way to order supplies built from the school’s actual lists. The result is less work for coordinators, less guesswork for families, and more confidence that students have what teachers requested.
7. How do I start an Edukit program at my school?
Contact Edukit to discuss your school or district’s supply lists, timeline, preferred delivery method, funding approach, and support needs. We help design the online ordering experience, and provide communication resources for families. Ask the Edukit team whether a program with no upfront costs or contracts is available for your school. 8. What program and funding options are available?
Edukit can support parent-pay, district-funded, sponsor-supported, and hybrid programs. Schools and districts can also choose between ship-to-school and applicable ship-to-home options. The right approach depends on your community, timeline, participation goals, and level of coordinator involvement. Edukit can help identify a best-fit structure rather than forcing every school into the same model.
9. Can Edukit include specialty items requested by teachers?
Edukit builds school-specific kits from teacher-approved lists and can review specialty items during program design. The team will confirm item availability, quantities, substitutions, and timing with the school or coordinator. If a specialty item cannot be included in the kit, the Edukit representative will provide options.
10. Is there a minimum order quantity?
Edukit can review expected participation and recommend a structure that fits your school with no minimum requirements.
Ordering, delivery, and program support
11. How does Edukit plan delivery before the first day of school?
Edukit builds the production and delivery schedule around the school’s opening date and program timeline. Delivery timing depends on the fulfillment model chosen, when orders are placed, and the schedule agreed upon with the school. The program coordinator should share ordering deadlines and expected delivery details. Families with time-sensitive questions should contact Edukit as soon as possible.
12. What happens if there are leftover kits?
We build and deliver only kits that are ordered. Occasionally an extra kit may be available to the school as a result of a cancelled or refunded order after the kits have been shipped. In these cases, the coordinator will work with their Edukit representative to get a return shipping label or purchase the kit for a giveaway or to resell at a back to school night. Some program coordinators may elect to order some additional kits to sell at back-to-school events. The coordinator should work with their reps to understand our return policies on unsold kits before placing that order.
13. Can families choose only the items they need?
In applicable ship-to-home programs, families may have item-level options that help them avoid purchasing supplies they already have. Available choices depend on the school’s program and the way each kit is configured. Families should review the options shown in their school’s ordering experience or contact Edukit with questions.
